WHO I AM

I go by the name of Jag Gatz and I'm a Rap and Hip-Hop artist of Indian descent, representing the city of Las Vegas. My influences range from all across the genre, stretching from trap to conscious music. I love to mix the old-school style with the modern sound. My music is centered around my complex lyricism and commanding flow, but I also like to show my range on more hype, turnt-up club anthems. From my wordplay to my rhyme schemes, I am a student of the game to the fullest, and I work to only get better with time. My personal five biggest inspirations are Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and JAY-Z. I have been putting out music since 2018, and I hope I can continue rapping for many years to come.

On December 30th of 2020, I released my first full-length project titled Golden Boy. The project took me through a series of trials and tribulations to make, but on the last day of the year I was able to pull it together and release it. The release is titled Golden Boy because I feel like, in terms of the culture, the genre, and my city: I truly am The Chosen One. The Golden Boy. So this project is basically a soundtrack to that statement, blending the mix of self-confidence and self-doubt that comes with it. Over these 15 songs, I want listeners to be able to walk away with the belief that they will be The Chosen One in whichever area they pursue, no matter the odds.

My second full-length release on March 29th of 2023 is entitled Sensing Change. This project encapsulates that feeling you start to feel after you build a foundation in whatever you do... you start to hit a lull. Get stagnant. Feel slept-on. After that initial breakthrough that was so hard to accomplish, you don't have that same novelty that you did when you achieved everything for the first time. You feel you as though because of this, even though you may be working harder and performing better - it can feel like you're in a worse position. It is at this moment you start to feel that if you just push that extra bit... your life is about to change. It's like you can sense it.

My third full-length release that dropped on May 29th, 2024 was a collaborative project with my close producer friend Maxxii - entitled Maximum Jaguar.
